Where did you grow up and how did you get into rugby?
I grew up in a small town called Ellon which is just north of Aberdeen. Stayed in Scotland until I was about 21 and moved to New Zealand to pursue my passion.
What do you find the most exciting about rugby?
I love that my sport has the ability to push every individual to their mental and physical limits.
What do you find most challenging about rugby?
The hardest part is finding the time to recover and maintain my body properly just to make sure my body lasts the full season.
What is your greatest achievement so far?
I am happy with all my achievements since coming to New Zealand, I've achieved everything that I set to do when moving here. Currently starting for Morrinsville Premiership team and last year winning the Heartland Championship with the Thames Valley side.
Where are you currently planning to head with rugby? How are you doing this?
I'm looking to gain a place in the Waikato Development side. My training is twice a week with the squad and three times a week at the gym.
What is one thing about rugby that people wouldn’t know?
The mental side of the game is something that very few people see. It's possibly the most fatiguing part of the sport.
Who is your biggest inspiration and why? There isn't one individual that I would see as an inspiration as I admire every individual who has worked hard from the depths of the sport and up into gaining professional contracts. There is a lot of sacrifice and time that has went into the sport.
